As reported by The Scottish Sun, Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday has been told he can leave the club this summer.
Halliday didn’t have the best of seasons for the Light Blues last term, drawing criticism for his ineffective displays in midfield at Scottish Premiership level.
He’s remained a fairly popular figure with a section of Rangers supporters who recognise that while he isn’t the most accomplished of midfielders, he generally gives his all for the team he grew up supporting.
Sometimes though being a fan isn’t enough and it’s probably the correct decision by Pedro Caixinha to find a new club for him, either on loan or in a permanent transfer.
With players like Carlos Pena and Ryan Jack arriving at Ibrox there’s little scope for Halliday getting a regular game in a Rangers shirt next term.
Fans of the club mostly see this as good news, they’ve long realised that changes need to be made at the club and after a large influx of players, it seems inevitable that there’ll be an exodus.
